Vodafone, Idea Launch Unlimited Calling, Data Packs
Vodafone, Idea Launch Unlimited Calling Offers Vodafone and Idea announced unlimited calling offers to compete with Reliance Jio after Airtel and Aircel.
Vodafone Plan – Priced INR 144 – INR 149 and (based on which Circle you are), it comes with lots of goodies which may sound familier:
- Unlimited Calling, both Local ad STD.
- 300 MB 4G Data
- Free Incoming calls on National-Roaming
- Another Plan between INR 344-349 carries 1GB 4G data
Idea’s Plan – Priced INR 148 gives you unlimited calling to only Idea users with 300 MB 4G data. You can choose the INR 348 pack to extend calling to all National networks free of cost with access to 1 Gb of 4G data. The catch here is that in case your phone does not have the 4G capability, than the data is limited to 50 MB only.
These all seem to be the after effects of Reliance Jio Welcome offer; which in the recent announcement has been extended to March 2017. The telecom competition has begun with major players having announced the similar offers to its uses to hold them to their current subscriber.
Vodafone holing around 200MM customer base under the pre-paid umbrella. Reliance Jio, as per the news has extended its base to 52MM customers in under 100 days of its launch.
State-owned BSNL is also considering the cheapest plan offering free calls to all Networks from January onward.
Most of the competitors in Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone and Idea have announced similar data plans after Reliance Jio targeting the customer base looking for the best quality data services available in India which is 4G at the least cost available. Reliance Jio, as per teh proposed plan would also be extending its free services to music, movies, TV, news , Video call, SMS etc.
